The Trust Women Series started when my husband created an opportunity for me to take a class in Lake Chelan Washington with a friend, artist, mentor extraordinaire Tracy Felix, who now owns Art Spot in Edmonds Washington. www.ArtSpotEdmonds.com

Typically, when taking an art class, you are given a supply list. Upon receipt, I inquired if I could use my grandmother’s supplies, knowing the condition of inherited supplies varies from the condition of new supplies. True to the adaptive nature of the art world, my request was approved.

 

A mystery tube of who knows what paint became impossible to clean up and, in my haste, I was getting it everywhere.  This resulted in Bob the solvent chemical guy coming to the rescue as I had bright blue hands and paint where it should not be.  This memorable experience in our dating life inspired two commissioned pieces from Tracy Felix honoring the beginning of our relationship and the origins of The Trust Women Series.

 

The Trust Women Series grew further with inspiration from (Cecile Richards book good trouble) and other techniques learned in classes or demos from multiple other artists.

With inspiration from these brave people, we have decided to donate a portion of all the Trust Women Series to causes supporting women and children suffering from sexual and domestic abuse.
